The Ocean Reserve at 19370 Collins Avenue in beautiful Sunny Isles Beach, spreads out in the heart of the new Florida Riviera. Located a few steps across Collins Avenue from the beach, close to great restaurants, shops and night spots and a few miles from the Aventura Mall, Gulfstream Race Course and Casino, and South Beach. The resort allows guests to enjoy all of South Florida's outdoor fun including golf, deep sea fishing and entertainment. This vacation condo is a large 1500 sq. ft., 2 bedroom, 2 full bath unit on the 3rd floor with a kitchen, dining and living areas. It is outfitted with linens, towels and all of the kitchen basics. The apartment overlooks the spectacular pool area and tennis courts against the backdrop of the Aventura skyline from the balcony. The master bedroom has a king bed, flat screen TV. separate vanity area, two walk in closets an en suite bathroom with shower and tub. The second bedroom has two full size beds, walk in closet and flat screen TV. The large living room is furnished with an entertainment center with a 55" flat screen TV, sofa, chaise lounge, and side chair . The large dining room table easily accommodates six. The balcony overlooks the pool, garden and tennis courts and has two chairs and a small table. The kitchen has all new upgraded appliances and basic cooking items. The apartment also has WIFI at no extra charge. There is a fitness center and a beautiful pool. tennis courts and garden area for you to enjoy. There is access to the entire property and some of South Florida's most striking beaches. This is one of the Sunny Isles Beach area's most prominent condominiums and an excellent vacation spot for family, couples or even business travelers.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Free self parking is included for one car. The building charges a one time $51.00 administrative fee at time of check in to cover the cost of access fobs, wrist bands, etc. Valet parking fees apply for a second car.

Late Check-In procedures for Ocean Reserve:

- Guests arriving after 10 PM will be asked by security to show an email with a confirmation of their reservation.
- Security will provide a temporary pass for one night if guests have a vehicle to park. It is the owner’s responsibility to inform the guest of their parking space. If a guest is unaware of their parking space, they will have to use valet services.
- Guests must return the following day to complete the short-term check-in before 11:00 AM. Bring their temporary parking pass, and receive their wristbands and the new parking pass. All guests must be present at the front desk so wristbands can be provided and worn at the time of check-in.
- If the guest shows up after 11:00 AM, a double check-in fee will be charged ($41.50+$41.50 $83 total).

  Issue 1: Extra costs that were not disclosed on the VRBO website.
  The VRBO payment page then showed a total of $1,125.53. They even include the phase “no hidden fees.” After paying, an email comes from a company called MySouthFloridaApartments saying that “there is a $40.00 one time administrative fee due at the front desk upon guest check in for FOBS for access to common areas and wristbands for the pool.” I emailed the host Mario DiNata about the $40 nondisclosed extra fee, and he said, “that is a fob fee that they charge that give you access to all public areas including the gym”. The statements from Ben Dinatale and Mario DiNata were both false. This is some sort of check-in fee, and the front desk would not allow access to the property without paying $51.50, despite that I already paid VRBO in full prior to arrival. Additionally VRBO charged a $200 refundable deposit that they still have not refunded. All-in-all, the charges were $1,345.03. That’s $223.50 more than the price on VRBO’s payment page.
  
  Issue 2: Incorrect, confusing, contradictory, and false check-in instructions.
  There were no less than five separate emails and/or texts with check-in instructions, totally about nine pages of information.
  
  Issue 3: There were five separate entities to deal with to reserve and check into this property.
  I booked with VRBO who said the host was Mario DiNatale. However, the check in instructions were first sent to me by Ben Dinatale. Then there was the front desk who wouldn’t allow me to go to the condo without paying them, more than was stated by Mario DiNata or Ben Dinatale. The front desk apparently isn’t part of VRBO or MySouthFloridaApartments, and they don’t report to Mario DiNata the supposed host. I was also given instructions to contact someone named Marlon Garcia before 9 PM on the day of my arrival to confirm my check in time.

  The apartment was spacious with a lovely balcony view. Having two bathrooms was especially convenient and the proximity to the beach was fantastic. We were delighted to find beach towels and other beach paraphernalia in the large front closet. The laundry facility was most welcome since we were just returning from a 2 week European cruise/ vacation. Our host sent impeccable instructions and was accessible and helpful during our 3 night stay. The apartment was clean but could use a little tlc particularly in the kitchen. Having said that, the kitchen was extremely useful to us and we made great use of it. And it was unfortunate that the pool was under maintenance during our stay but these things happen. There was the beach!

  Over all we enjoyed our stay. There where a couple issues. We found left over dirty cloths in the unit. The people next to us smoked weed everyday on there balcony, which for us made it so we couldnt enjoy ours. The unit is a little dated but that didnt really bother us. The pool was nice and most of the resort staff was polite. Overall we felt it was a little over priced but is in a very nice area.

  No complaints about the actual condo. Very clean, had towels, shampoo, conditioner, beach chairs. Overlooked the pool. Pretty quiet. Had an extra mattress which was great. The stay was OK. The location was OK. VERY OLD. However, there is NO heated pool as advertised. You only get a limited amount of garbage bags even though if you throw loose trash down the trash shoot it is a $100 fine. We received 3 dishwasher pods for a week-long stay, over Thanksgiving.....
  
  My actual problem here, I have never had to deal with such issues when booking a rental. I've booked a lot of places. Hotels, AirBnBs, etc., this process was ridiculous. The forms you fill out. The holes in the contract. The issues with adding people. I waited days to get the contract back to sign and had to ask for it. The whole process was unorganized and unnecessary. Then when you arrive you fill out the same contract. Being told to call them or reply to let them know you opened an email. Messaging on VRBO was horrible. Being ignored multiple times. They advertise that they have a FULL DAY of cleaning between guests however we were told someone was checking in the same day we were checking out. Being told after you book that you must have all guest's IDs then being told you don't. Being told the person who rents must be over 30, then being told they don't. There is no consistency. This process was horrible and I do not recommend dealing with it. So many things are hidden until you actually book this place. They need to let the guests know upfront exactly what they are getting into.

  We really enjoyed everything about this condo, its location, communication, etc. We brought our teenage son and a friend to Rolling Loud Miami, so the boys' time in the condo was very limited, but my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our few days in Sunny Isles Beach. The condo was extremely clean, check-in was easy, the patio overlooking the pool was a lovely place to enjoy coffee/wine, and communication with the owners was excellent. The location right off the Lehman Causeway was convenient for drop off/pick up duty with the boys and visiting the upscale Aventura Mall. Two large bedrooms, two baths, large walk-in closets, TVs in every room, well-stocked kitchen, eating area were all great. This was not a 'beach' trip for us, so not being oceanfront wasn't important. Overall a great stay and I would definitely recommend.

  It is a very spacious condo. Nice the they had extra beach towels. They have beach chairs, but they are difficult to carry since the straps are mostly broken. Tips when you check in, if you plan to use the tennis courts- you have to sign up at the front desk, otherwise the court may be taken. Also, when you check in , ask if they are going to chemically treat the pool while you are there. We could not use the pool until 2pm one day, which was inconvenient. Otherwise the space is great, especially for the price. Lots of good dining choices close by and a publix to stock up on food for the kitchen. I would recommend this place.
